DVLA bans Excel from database

MOTORISTS can park without fear for three months after the DVLA banned Excel Parking from using its database.
The Sheffield company will be unable to send £60 ‘fines’ to drivers who uses any of its camera-controlled car parks.
It was suspended for breaching the British Parking Association’s code of practice.
Excel makes about 20,000 requests for addresses every three months. The ban will cost it tens of thousands of pounds in lost income. It issues tickets for staying too long or failing to input number plate details correctly.

  1. Its not just Excel Parking, but MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions & Roxburghe Debt Collectors.

They have all been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!

  2. MET Parking are appealing their ban this week - wait and see I guess!

  3. As Roxburghe are above the law(!) they are using one of their clients who has the EDI link to the DVLA to obtain driver details like it's business as usual

  4. Anyone got a fake 'parking ticket' from Combined Parking Solutions?

Yes, you know, COMBINED PARKING SOLUTIONS WHO ARE CURRENTLY BANNED BY THE DVLA FROM GETTING ANY DATA ABOUT REGISTERED KEEPERS - AND YET IT SEEMS THEY HAVEN'T TOLD ALL THEIR 'CLIENTS'.

Combined Parking Solutions are still issuing their fake parking 'tickets' and letting their clients waste time self-ticketing & taking photos.

Combined Parking Solutions are hoping no-one realises that they CANNOT GET DVLA REGISTERED KEEPER DATA UNTIL 2013!

Anyone who gets a private parking ticket should ignore it or read up on the POPLA option (and then ignore the fake PCN after that if POPLA don't cancel it).

But if they get a fake parking ticket from a company that's BANNED from getting DVLA registered keeper data - like Combined Parking Solutions are banned - then of course they must NOT APPEAL.

Combined Parking Solutions cannot get your details.

Combined Parking Solutions is run by this man - the paragraphs near the bottom of this article shows what Mike Perkins thinks is OK in life:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/4755270.stm

His is the penultimate photo, see what he says there. Reckons that's how people behave. Reckons that's an example for his daughter...

Consider what SodG24 has said above. Shocking stuff from a purported 'businessman' like Mike Perkins of Combined Parking Solutions.

And consider the fact he was appointed to the BPA Board and then apparently left, sharpish, within TWO MONTHS!

And his company, Combined Parking Solutions, was banned by the DVLA from getting data around the same time. So they are currently suspended unless people are gullible enough to appeal and send him their details.

DON'T send your details to Combined Parking Solutions!

  6. I have today received a very spurious Parking Charge Notice from another company called Vehicle Control Services Ltd who claim I was parked in Birmingham when I was at work in Salisbury. The Notice included two 'doctored' pictures of what was supposed to be my vehicle (but without appropriate stickers, badges etc) with my Registration number very clear - amazing when the whole pictures overall were incredibly blurred. How do I report them to the DVLA also to get them banned from using their database, and should the letter just be binned or what please. Any help most appreciated.
